About the Author

Jason Reid is a pioneering speaker and author on the topic of invisible disabilities in the workplace. Having lived his entire adult life with Crohn’s and arthritis, Jason became an award-winning television producer and news manager, doubling his department’s productivity by building trust and taking a creative approach to disability accommodations.

Jason’s first book from 2011, Thriving in the Age of Chronic Illness, was considered a ground-breaking look into the realities that people with chronic health conditions faced in the workplace and the massive misunderstanding between our perceptions of illness and the reality of chronic conditions. Embracing Invisible Disabilities in the Workplace is a complete update of that book with additional sections focusing specifically on mental health conditions and neurodiversity.
