Jason Reid:
Invisible Disability and Leadership Expert
For the past decade, pioneering speaker Jason Reid has been speaking about managing invisible and non-apparent disabilities in the workplace to audiences around the world.
Before becoming a speaker, Jason had a long career in television news as a senior manager, while also living with two significant hidden illnesses.
Jason became an early leader in accomodating employees with invisible disabilities. By being open and de-stigmatizing his own health challenges in the workplace, his employees began to share theirs. Jason soon realized that 50 percent of his staff had their own invisible disabilities. Using open communication, and solution-focused strategies he doubled the productivity of his department in the space of a year. Jason Reid is the author of Thriving in the Age of Chronic Illness, and the soon-to-be-published book Embracing Invisible Disabilities in the Workplace.
Jason has spoken to audiences on three continents for organizations as varied as government agencies, financial and insurance companies, large retailers, tech firms, and many others.
Jason’s team-building and leadership skills are reflected in his unique collaborations with other speakers on similar topics such as neurodiversity, psychological safety and more.
He is also the founder and CEO of a boutique speaker agency called InclusionSpeakers.com
“Jason is a wonderful speaker and highly engaging. I would love to have him back at another time. He gave the audience hope, when they felt like
they were alone in what they were going through.”
“Managers hear advice around how to have conversations from us all the time, but Jason takes a deeper dive
into the human side of things that greatly complements our work coaching leaders”.
